Stage Communicator (com.summeria.stagecommunicator)
1. Data controller and contact
Stage Communicator was developed and is operated by Juan Rivas (JRivas.tech / Sumeria), based professionally in Spain. Technical and privacy enquiries can be sent to juanrivas.tech@gmail.com.
2. No server-side storage
Stage Communicator is designed around privacy-by-design and local-first principles.
The app does not collect or store personal information, advertising identifiers, voice recordings or messages in an external database. Communications are transmitted ephemerally between devices connected to the same local network.
3. Device permissions and how they are used
To work as an intercom and cue-light system, the Android app requests the following permissions:
Microphone
Network and Wi-Fi (INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE, CHANGE_WIFI_MULTICAST_STATE)
Discover devices and send audio, chat and signals inside the local Wi-Fi network.
The app can operate without internet access; Android also uses the INTERNET permission for local-network communication.
Vibration (VIBRATE)
Provide haptic confirmation for alerts, calls and cues.
4. Data stored locally
The app may store the following session preferences in the device's private storage:
- The name or identifier selected by the operator.
- The assigned department.
- The selected role: stage management or technician.
- The configured room code.
- The preferred interface language.
These preferences are not sent to the developer and are deleted when the app is uninstalled or its data is cleared in Android.
5. Advertising and tracking
Stage Communicator does not contain commercial advertising, use advertising SDKs or include behavioural tracking systems.
6. Children
The app is intended for technicians, stage managers and live-production operators. It is not designed as a service directed at children and does not request age data.
